Seven plus one stories for a girl – Nicosia Book Festival 2026
Title: Stories of gender-based violence in literature and real life: a discussion on the occasion of the book "Seven plus one stories about a girl" (Kedros Publications)
Short description: Kedros Publications, the Association for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence (SPAVO) and the author Nicoletta Kapilla invite the public to a discussion on gender-based violence on the occasion of the book “Seven plus one stories for a girl”. Stories of gender-based violence do not belong only to literature nor are they a distant concept. They are stories and experiences that often remain silent, but sometimes come to the surface in a tragic way. The discussion will refer to the role of SPAVO, through examples and the stories in the book, with the aim of raising awareness among the public about this serious issue and showing how literature can shed light on difficult issues and function as a means of enlightenment and empowerment.
