Ariana Charilaou was born in Limassol in 1986. She is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Patras and holds a master's degree in Mass Media and Communication from the University of Nicosia.
She has worked as a journalist in print and electronic media, as well as as an associate in the political office of a Member of the European Parliament. She also volunteers at the "Little Heroes" Foundation.
The book Aria the Elephantine and Swan Lake was her first venture into the field of children's literature, while Gourounakis the Sharp-Toothed is her second book.
