"It’s Cool to be Kind" and "It's Cool to be Green" books reading by Elena Christofides with music by Agni Sacca
ABOUT THE BOOKS:
“It’s cool to be kind” has been lovingly created to give positive messages which I wanted to pass on to my own children and others . It conveys the importance of being kind, accepting differences in others, having compassion, listening to one’s heart and practising mindfulness and yoga.
"It's cool to be green"
Joe is a kind-hearted boy who feels upset when a new girl in his class is teased. He stands up for what he believes is right, making himself an example to others.
Sofia is a conscientious girl who cares about "being green" - making choices that protect the environment. After Sofia organises a field trip with her class to clean up a local beach, her teachers post photos of the event online. These photos are seen by children around the world who are inspired to do their part to help our planet.
I will be reading the book and Agni Sacca will be playing various instruments from around the world which brings the book to life as it travels through different countries.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Elena completed her BA and MA in textiles and fashion in the UK and worked in the fashion industry in London while also selling her designer scarves at Harrods and Liberty.
She had multiple jewellery and art exhibitions and worked at the Nicosia fashion institute supporting the Cypriot fashion industry.
Elena created an afternoon art school for children while completing her yoga teacher training and volunteering at the Nicosia dog shelter rehoming hundreds of dogs.
She illustrated several childrens books of which she wrote two.
ABOUT THE MUSICIAN
“Agni Sacca earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in piano in Belgium followed by African Studies in Ghana and Minnesota.
She is active in classical solo/chamber concerts and classical/ethnic festivals in collaboration with renowned artists.
She has created Experiential African Music Workshops which are provided in primary and high schools nationwide.
She is a Magister and Supervisor of Benenzon Non Verbal Therapy and teaches Instrumentology at Benenzon University.
Agni strives for a meaningful human connection in all she does.”
